When it’s time to unwind, you’ll find some vibrant and original options around Blue Mountain. There are live music concerts, family festivals, the Salsa at Blue experience, along with cultural activities to suit all ages and interests like art classes, galleries, talks and panel discussions, film screenings, theatre and dance.
Dining and Shopping
Blue Mountain Village is Ontario’s largest pedestrian village, offering a huge variety of unique boutiques and shops open late 7 days a week.There are 26 restaurants to explore from casual bites up to fine dining to be found all along their cobblestone streets.
Sports and Recreation
Known for its world-class skiing, including downhill, cross-country and snowboarding, there are 42 runs for everyone from beginner up to competitive level. Blue Mountain has a terrain park, night skiing and gorgeous glades to swish through. Beyond skiing there is a world of recreation around you. Explore the Mountain by mountain biking, hiking the trails or rock climbing. Golfing is available at any of the dozen courses in the area. If you love horseback riding, there are several local stables. There are tennis courts and parks, ATV rides, scavenger hunts and sleigh rides. Virtually any fun activities you can envision, you can find here.
Blue Mountain has something to entertain everyone throughout all four seasons. Create a new annual family tradition with a picturesque fall drive along the Apple Pie Trail. Or for something more exciting, explore the depths of the Scenic Caves or experience the thrills of Ridge Runner Roller Coaster, the Apex Bagjump, ziplining or swinging on one of the high ropes courses.The children in your life will love playing at Plunge! Aquatic Centre every summer. Even in winter, when you are done hitting the slopes, you can try dog sledding at Rob Roy Farm or tobogganing, snowshoeing or snowmobiling.
The shores of Georgian Bay are made for summer fun. Whether it’s swimming in the lake or building sandcastles in the warm sand, your family will enjoy being out in the sun. Thornbury, Christie, Northwinds and Collingwood beaches are all a short drive from Mountain House and offer picnic spaces, playgrounds and lots of places to enjoy the water. Also close by is Wasaga Beach, the longest freshwater beach in the world. Enjoy the water your way by boating, fishing, water skiing or swimming.
